Atiku Calls on Tinubu to Declare State of Emergency After Niger School Abduction

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has called on President Bola Tinubu to immediately declare a state of emergency on insecurity following the shocking abduction of students and staff at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Papiri, Niger State.

Gunmen attacked the school in a midnight raid, whisking away students and teachers in yet another heartbreaking incident. Atiku described the attack as “truly heartbreaking” and said Nigeria cannot continue like this.

He urged the government to act fast, saying it is not too late for Tinubu to declare a state of emergency and tackle the insecurity crisis with full force.

Atiku’s call comes at a time when Nigerians are expressing deep frustration over the rising wave of kidnappings and terrorist attacks across the country.

Whether the federal government will respond to his call remains to be seen, but the pressure is growing as insecurity continues to spread across many states.
